Kystpilegrimsleia
The coastal pilgrimage route stretches from Norway's west coast all the way into the Trøndelag county. Before the journey comes to an end at the Nidaros cathedral in Trondheim you have the option to walk the last three day-hikes from Hasselvika to Vanvikan.
The Route
A two-day hike (with stays in both Rissa and Stadsbygd) along the rich coastal landscape of Indre Fosen

Day 1: Hasselvika-Rissa
Upon arrival at the speedboat terminal in Hasselvika you will start your first day of hiking with a six hour trip to Rissa. Waterproof shoes, drinking water, and snacks for the hike are recommended. The hike for the day concludes at your first stay Gjertrustua.
Day 2: Rissa-Stadsbygd
The second day of hiking leads you past Reins Kloster, the second last key place before the Nidaros Cathedral. From there, you will walk back in the mountains for about 4 hours until reaching Stadsbygd Prestegård. You will have access to the kitchen and a supermarket along the way.
[Day 3: Stadsbygd-Vanvikan]
This part of the route is not finally marked. Completion is to be expected in 2024. For now, the offer includes only stays in Rissa and Stadsbygd. From there, you can either take the bus to Vanvikan and the speedboat to Trondheim or you drive all the way with the bus to Trondheim center.
Stay 1: Gjertrustua
Gjertrustua has everything you need and will be the first stay of the journey. It's enough sleeping space for a max. 4 people. Recommended are two.

Stay 2: Stadsbygd Prestegård
Prestegård is much more spacious and can accommodate large numbers of people. You will have a fully equipped kitchen and are located close to Kystens Arv, the last key place before Nidaros Domen.

INSTRUCTIONS
This adventure is particularly easy if you are starting from Trondheim. There is a speedboat route from the city center straight to Hasselvika. For the times check ATB.no. Once you arrive in Stadsbygd, you can take the bus back. Check ATB as well for departure times.

As soon as the route from Stadsbydg to Vanvikan is fully marked, you can take the speed back from there.
