About the Course

Mountain Summer Camp 2024 (12th to 18th August)

Connect with nature on a deeper level

Open for bookings 🌱

The mountain camp will bring you back into true contact with nature. With a crew of 6 people (keeping it personal), we will explore Norway's wilderness with the base camp at a traditional, but simple log cabin. There will, be fishing, hiking, bonfires, and local food. A good level of physical fitness is required! Things can get tough.

What to expect:

  • A cosy stay at a remote log cabin in the mountains

  • Simple, local food and lots of self caught fish

  • Learning about the nature surrounding you and how to catch fish (rod)

  • Long hikes bringing you to the borders of your capabilities (joyfully)

  • Setting nets, having campfires, cook together and sleep outside (if wanted)

  • Picking berries for simple pancakes

  • Cold baths in mountain lakes

  • The best hiking companion you can get 🐺

We are setting up the adventures based on the weather upon arrival.

All transport via car, fishing licences and food is included. You're also going to get a fishing rod and the right lures from us (Still bring your own if you like).

Rough outlay:

12th Aug:

14th Aug:

By plane:

If you're wondering about anything, just write :)

Location:

Were going stay at Ormsetstua, in Verran. Here are the coordinates:

63.876639150846394, 10.693468671417747

There are five sleeping spaces inside: Two rooms with bunk beds and one master bedroom (Will work for a couple). The sixth person will be able to sleep in a hammock in the forest line or the porch for the real wilderness experience.

Ormsetstua is a simple cabin! There is no running water, we get that from the lake.

The toilet is a build in outhouse, so no water flushing but a luxury in the mountains.

Food:

We will bring the basics as well as backup food! There will be local eggs, meat, and potentially vegetables (Otherwise they will be store bought).

And of course, fresh mountain trout at it's very best.

If you're at least pescatarian, food will be a bliss. In case you're diet requires other attention, let us know (we might be able to arrange it).

What to bring?

  • Sleeping back

If it's an issue, shoot us a message, we can figure something out.

  • A water bottle

If you are prone to stomach issues, you can look into buying a bootle with inbuilt filtration.

  • High quality hiking shoes

The terrain can be wet at times, water proof shoes that protect your ankles are recommended.

Booking:

To book your spot you will have to pay a 2500 NOK (250$) deposit. It's non-refundable if you decide to cancel the booking. The remaining sum will be paid 8 weeks before the start of the adventure.

Please keep in mind that a dog will be present at all times if there are present allergies.

It is going to be a little like this:
